The basic reason of this change is increasing awareness and  expectations of public. The traditional political methods and approaches have become obsolete. The  new class of political activists is emerging where younger generation is more determined and has political skills which are being acquired from various professional institutes. 

This change has further generated a wave of change in the sociopolitical sector. Today's young leaders need to be qualified on matters like rural development, women empowerment, skill development, watershed management, environmental science and other emerging topics which used to be hardly addressed by the unique class of traditional leaders.

The new generation of leaders have to follow the style of adaptive leadership where people have to be approached by a leader rather than the public is approaching to a leader. The top to bottom approach has no significance in the contemporary world rather bottom up approach is much more beneficial and appreciable too. The leader need to interact with people at on initiative and find solutions to their problems. The emerging world order has further brought a unique  change that political activists are no longer die hard followers and they are opportunists and looking forward to change sides if the personal political aspirations are met.

The profession of politics has become more complex and critical too. Certain parties do propagate for not supporting own kith and kin but the things happen on ground amazingly. The politics is a noble profession as education but we need to understand the meaning of politics. It does not mean that you do not do social service while being politically active. In fact, politics is a social work provided one has not got any financial burden and can perform whole heartily.

The Indian political environment is undergoing an unbelievable rapid change where a new sub culture is taking place. Aspirations of people as well the new generation are getting volatile each day. The people are educated and have political awareness. The political activists are also uncomfortable within their political parties and are on look out to change the sides for personal gains and obtaining political mileage. Everyday new political parties are coming into being but the need of the hour is to understand the aspirations of the people rather then changing the names of Govt schemes and programs for luring the innocent people for achieving petty political aims.

Therefore, leaders of today must be adaptive in approach to gauge the prevailing political environment and contribute accordingly to address the people's problems. The traditional politics must take the back seat and the adaptive politics is the need of the hour.
